Modern platform bed from designer Mark Daniel of Slate Design imbues minimalist form with the richness of ebonized teak wood. The spare silhouette integrates headboard nightstands with two cantilevered shelves each—one wide for books, one narrow with discreet cord cutouts for your light/phone/alarm clock. Ledge extends around mattress and hovers over corner block feet. Headboard is just the right height for pillow propping, too.
