Quietly sophisticated and undeniably elegant, black leather stool is based on a Gianfranco Frattini design from the 1950s. Originally produced in limited quantities for the grand Hotel Parco dei Principi in Rome (itself a masterpiece by architect Gio Ponti) Frattini's timeless design has become a coveted collectors' item. Now, reintroduced in collaboration with the Frattini estate, our stool retains the design and richness of materials. A frame of teak wood, finished in a warm brown stain, displays exemplary joinery and detailing. As for the plush, tufted cushioned seat? It's covered in rich black synthetic leather, which will only become more beautiful with age.
